To maintain a fit body and attract looks not only to your bathing suit but also to your slim silhouette, try the rural diet. It is an effective helper in the battle of the bulge.

It owes its name due to the fact that it's based on the eating principles of medieval peasants.

An adequate rural diet lasts 3 weeks but if necessary you can reduce its duration to 2 weeks. This diet contains a limited list of products for consumption.

These include non-fatty boiled meat, nonfat cottage cheese, buckwheat, fruits, vegetables, green spices. The only vegetables excluded from the list are potatoes.

Veggies

Boiled eggs are permissible but no more than 3 per week since yolks are rich in cholesterol and not appropriate for this diet.

During this diet, you need to completely eliminate bread and baked goods, fried and smoked products, ones made from butter, alcohol, salt and sugar.

A mandatory requirement for following the rural diet is to drink 12 1/2 cups (3 L) of pure water each day.

For breakfast you can eat 2/5 cup (100 g) of cottage cheese or 1 boiled egg, as well as 2 fruits, tea or coffee with no sugar. For lunch you are allowed 5.5 oz (150 g) of boiled or sauteed vegetables, 3.5 oz (100 g) of meat and as many raw vegetables as you like.

Dinner would consist of 7 oz (200 g) of boiled vegetables, 3 tablespoons of buckwheat and 1 fruit. This diet is low in calories but you won't constantly feel hungry.

The diet is based on products rich in protein and fiber and provide the body with sustenance. The abundant amount of water fools hunger. This diet is intended to make you lose 15.5 lb (7 kg) in 3 weeks.
