What are Fruit Vegetables?

In botany, the term "vegetable" is extremely incorrect and in reality, does not exist. There are fruits and edible parts of plants, that have accumulated reserves of nutrients.

Despite this, we humans have divided plants into fruits and vegetables. Because of this, there also exists a little-known subgroup - fruit vegetables. What we know about them is that they are cultivated for their fruit.

These are tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, cucumbers, green beans, peas, broad beans, physalis, pumpkins, zucchini, olives, avocados and watermelons.

Watermelon for example, is a fruit, that can be easily used like a vegetable. In some countries, it is fried, boiled or marinated.

Fruits

Tomatoes are a main vegetable crop that gives fruit. They have a high nutritional value and wonderful taste properties.

Fruits and vegetables are two types of food products, that are incredibly healthy. If we accept that they are different, then in most cases they are easy to distinguish and classify. Sometimes however, it is difficult to decide whether something is a fruit or a vegetable.

Avocado

Fruits, often sweet and fleshy, are the part of the plant surrounding the seeds. All other parts of the plant that are suitable for eating are labeled as vegetables. Vegetables are considered to be herbaceous plants, grown for their edible parts.

Most people categorize "vegetables" as foods that are eaten as part of the main coarse, and "fruits" as foods that are eaten as desserts or a light snack.

Most fruits are sweet because they contain a simple sugar, known as fructose, while most vegetables are not as sweet, because of its limited quantity.

The debate over whether fruit vegetables exist and if so, which ones they actually are, continues to this day. Ultimately, using such specific terminology is not important to us - eat both fruits and vegetables without limit and enjoy their healthy and delicious benefits.
