Appetizers

Here are a few appetizers, that you can make for any holiday where you are expecting guests. This way, you will save the yourself the effort of making complex main courses, since the recipes we are offering are plenty nutritious and delicious.

Our proposals include a roll, a recipe for pork liver "cigars", an appetizer with couscous that can be served instead of salad, and an appetizer with cucumbers.

Stuffed roll

Ingredients for the boiled dough: 1 cup flour, 1 cup water, 4 eggs, 1/2 cup oil, 1 tsp salt.

Pork liver cigars

Ingredients for the stuffing: 3 boiled eggs, 9 oz cottage cheese, 1/5 cup butter.

Preparation: Put the water, oil and salt in an appropriate pot, then place it on the stove and wait for it to boil. Then pour in the flour and stir until the boiled dough begins to unstick from the pot. Once the mixture cools a bit, begin to add the eggs in one by one, without ceasing to stir energetically.

Once the dough becomes homogeneous, pour it out into a pre-greased rectangular tray and bake in a moderate oven. Then flip the ready layer over onto a moist towel and roll it up. Let it cool. In the meantime, blend all the ingredients for the stuffing and smear the layer with it. Roll it up again and leave it in the refrigerator for a few hours.

Stuffed cucumbers

The next appetizer is extremely light and exceptionally tasty. In order to make it you will need 2 cucumbers to cut into 2 1/2″ (6 cm) pieces and to carve out the seeds. Cut boiled chicken breasts into small bits and mix them with a 1/4 cup finely chopped almonds, parsley to taste and some ground black pepper.

Stir the mixture and leave in the refrigerator. Meanwhile, combine 1 cup of mayonnaise, 3 tbsp of oil, 2 tbsp of lemon juice, black pepper and salt - make it homogeneous. Next, combine this mixture with the meat with the almonds and stir thoroughly. Stuff into the carved out cucumbers and your appetizer is ready.

Couscous was mayonnaise

Pork liver cigars

Ingredients: 9 oz pork liver, 9 oz of ground meat, onions, parsley, spearmint, 2 slices of bread, oil, salt and black pepper.

Preparation: Wash the liver and chop it finely, then mix it with the ground meat. To them, add the grated onions, finely chopped parsley and spearmint, the soaked and drained slices of bread, black pepper and salt.

Knead thoroughly and form small cigars from the blend - around 1 1/4″ (3 cm), then wrap each one in foil, smeared with butter ahead of time. Bake in a hot oven and serve warm.

And since it just so happens that sometimes guests show up uninvited, here's a quick appetizer, which can be served as a salad. Boil half a packet of couscous and mix it with equal parts of mayonnaise and strained yoghurt. To this mixture, add salt and 2 cloves of crushed garlic, as well as some of your favorite vegetables, that have been finely chopped.
