Superfoods for Healthy Kids

Like any parent, we're always thinking about what we're feeding our kids. Supermarkets offer us processed foods loaded with sugar and desserts with artificial colors and preservatives. Stores attract kids with sodas and chips and all this leads to health problems, low immunity and nutritional deficiency.

For kids to be healthy and have a strong immunity against viruses and bacteria, we have to make sure they're eating healthy. Below you'll find the foods which are considered to be the healthiest for our children.

1. Plain yoghurt - an excellent source of zinc, calcium and phosphorous. It's rich in vitamins and probiotics. To make it even tastier, you can combine it with sliced fruits or your kid's favorite jam.

2. Wild berries - strawberries, raspberries and blackberries all contain high levels of antioxidants, vitamins and nutrients. They boost children's immune systems and charge with energy and strength.

3. Oatmeal - a somewhat forgotten breakfast, yet one that is incredibly healthy. The little ones fill up with it fast, it helps their concentration in school due to its slow-burning carbs and abundance of vitamins. To make that bowl of oatmeal even more appealing, you can add pieces of sliced fruit or a little jam to it.

4. Cocoa - a favorite for kids, everyone loves chocolate and bonbons. This product is rich in flavonoids and antioxidants. With pure cocoa you can prepare homemade bonbons, chocolate or cocoa milk.

5. Nuts - they are rich in omega fatty acids and are extremely important for a child's development. Don't forget to serve your child raw sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds, their benefits are unmatched.
