Ingredients

  • flour - 2 cups (500 g)
  • yoghurt - 4/5 cup (200 g)
  • eggs - 1
  • yeast - 1 1/3 tsp (7 g) dry
  • water - 2/5 cup (100 ml) warm
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • oil - 2 tablespoons

Preparation

Knead a soft dough from the products listed. Leave it to rise for 1 hour in a warm area.

Then oil your hands, shape balls from the dough. Stretch out each ball into a thin pieces, place it in a pan with extra heated oil on the stove.

Once the edges redden a bit, flip the mekitsa over to fry on the other side.

Once ready, arrange them onto paper towels to drain from the oil, then sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve warm.find similar recipes here
