"Of course you can eat tasty spinach dishes during the winter as well, all you need to have is frozen spinach in the freezer!"

Ingredients

  • spinach - 1 lb (0.5 kg) frozen (for 3 servings)
  • rice - 1 cup
  • onions - 1 1/2 yellow onion heads
  • oil
  • salt - to taste
  • black pepper - to taste, ground
  • basil - 1/2 tsp dry
  • rosemary - 1/2 tsp of tips
  • water - 3 cups

How to make

In a frying pan, place the sliced portions of yellow onions. Pour in a little oil in and turn the onions over several times in the oil until they become glassy. Add the frozen cubes of spinach and continue stirring until the spinach loosens up completely from the heat of the pan.

Pour in the rice and stir well again. Add 1 cup of water and cover the pan with a lid to saute the spinach. Pour the finished mixture into a baking dish with an oiled bottom.

Add the remaining 2 cups of water. Bake at about 440°F (225°C) for 20 minutes.

Once the liquid in the oven dish is no longer visible, cover the oven dish with foil and leave it for 10 minutes. Turn off the oven and let the residual heat finish the cooking.
