"So you think this phyllo pastry has nothing but spinach? Read the ingredients carefully and then we`ll take."

Ingredients

  • puff pastry - 1 lb (450 g)
  • spinach - 1.1 lb (500 g)
  • mushrooms - 9 oz (250 g)
  • chicken fillet - 9 oz (250 g) steak
  • onions - 1 head
  • cheese - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • eggs - 1
  • black pepper
  • stock - 1 cube, vegetable

How to make

Blanch the spinach. In the meantime, braise the onion in olive oil, along with the cut into slices steak and mushrooms.

Dissolve the vegetable stock in a little water and add it to the onions, mushrooms and steak. Once the water evaporates, add the spinach as well, stir. Add the grated cheese. Sprinkle with black pepper.

Divide up the puff pastry in two, take a rectangular tray which we smear from the inside with cold water or oil and place half of the puff pastry. Pour the filling on top, place the other half of the puff pastry.

Smear egg white along the sides and egg yolk on top.

Bake in a preheated oven.

What do you mean by put water in the tray then put the puff pastry in it? The puff pastry is going to be wet. How much water? Please explain. Thank you
