Ingredients

  • phyllo pastry - 17.5 oz (500 g) fine filo
  • eggs - 4.
  • sugar - 2 1/2 cups (600 g)
  • flour - 4/5 cup (200 g)
  • nuts - 4/5 cup (200 g)
  • baking powder - 1.
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • butter - 1/2 cup (125 g)
  • water - 1 2/3 cups (400 ml)

Preparation

In a buttered baking dish, arrange half the pastry. From the other ingredients without the oil, make a mixture with the ground in advance walnuts, this mixture is placed on the crust as stuffing.

Cover with the remaining stacked pastry and pour melted butter. Bake until browned. Pour the syrup prepared from 1 2/3 cups (400 ml) water and 1 2/3 cups (400 g) sugar on the cool baklava.
