Heat the olive oil and butter in a large frying pan and fry the onions. Add the grits and cook, stirring.

Add mushrooms and stir for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and add the broth. Let the meat cook on low stove heat for about 20 minutes, stirring regularly.

The grits with mushrooms should be left with just fat. Add oregano and serve.
