Ingredients

  • for the shortbread
  • flour - 1 cup (250 g)
  • eggs - 1
  • butter - 1/2 cup (125 g)
  • sugar - 1/5 cup (65 g)
  • salt - 1 pinch
  • vanilla sugar - 1 packet
  • lemon peels - 1 tsp grated
  • for the filling
  • carrots - 10.5 oz (300 g)
  • apples - 10.5 oz (300 g)
  • milk - 1 cup (250 ml)
  • sugar - 1/5 cup (65 g)
  • salt - 1 pinch
  • walnuts - 1/5 cup (65 g) crushed
  • raisins - 1/5 cup (65 g) big
  • lemon juice - 2 tablespoons

  • egg - 1 small
  • cream - whipped, spreadable

How to make

Sift the flour and in a well in the middle, add an egg. At the edge of the flour, distribute cold butter pieces and other products. With chilled hands knead dough slowly. Continue mixing until homogeneous, smooth and without lumps. Wrap it with transparent film and put in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Spread the dough into a pre-oiled shape for baking. It must reach the edge of the wall and be squeezed well. Grate apples and carrots and wash them with lemon juice. Prepare vanilla pudding from the steamed milk with the sugar and add the other products. When cool, mix- in the grated carrots and apple and pour them over the dough.

Put the pie to bake for 40 minutes in a moderately hot oven. Then remove and brush it with a beaten egg. Put if back in the oven for another 10 minutes. Serve the cake with whipped cream.
