Ingredients

  • potatoes - 2.21 lb (1 kg)
  • eggs - 2
  • butter - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 g)
  • milk - 1 cup (250 ml)
  • gruyere cheese - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • blue cheese - 2 oz (50g)
  • cheese - 3.5 oz (100 g) grated
  • parmesan cheese - grated 2 oz (50 g)
  • garlic - 2 cloves
  • thyme - 1/2 tsp
  • salt
  • pepper - to taste

How to make

Brush the bottom and sides of a pan with a lid with butter. Peel the potatoes and cut them into circles. Blend the garlic. Arrange a row of potatoes, with overlapping ends like tiles.

Sprinkle with a bit of spice, garlic and some of the parmesan cheese (grated). Repeat to the depletion of the potatoes. Sprinkle the top with parmesan cheese and pour the beaten eggs and milk in.

This liquid should almost cover the potatoes and if needed, add 1 egg with milk. Put the lid on and insert the dish to bake for about 50 minutes at about 390°F (200°C).
