Ingredients

  • eggs - 3 + 1 to spread
  • yogurt - 3 tbsp
  • water - 2 cups
  • yeast – 3 1/3 tbsp (50 g)
  • salt
  • sugar - 2 pinches
  • flour - as much as it absorbs
  • feta cheese - 10.5 oz (300 g)
  • lard - 1 cup melted, or oil

Preparation

Dissolve the yeast with a little warm water and sugar. Leave to rise and add the eggs, yogurt, water and while adding flour to it, knead a smooth and soft dough. Cover and let it rise in a warm place.

Divide the risen dough into 6 parts. Roll out each part flat, smear each one evenly with melted lard or oil and sprinkle with crumbled feta cheese. Roll up the pieces, twist them and arrange them in a greased tray, in the form of a snail shell.

Leave them to rise again, brush them with beaten egg and remaining lard (if any) and put to bake in a moderately hot oven.find similar recipes here
