"It`s a well known fact that alcohol makes meat and cookies irresistible!"

Ingredients

  • white wine - 2 cups
  • oil - 5 cups (lard is fine too)
  • powdered sugar - 1 cup
  • baking powder - 1
  • vanilla - 2
  • flour - 2 lb (1 kg)
  • jam - or use marmalade

How to make

Gently knead a dough from all the products. From it, roll out a very thin sheet. With a cup, cut out circles, then put jam (or marshmallows) on them.

The most delicious jam to use is one with grated quinces in it. Smear the circles around the edges with beaten egg whites to act as a glue, fold them in half, press with your fingertips around the edges to bind them well.

Bake in a warm oven until pink. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Bon appetit!
