Ingredients

  • flour - 2 1/5 cups (550 g)
  • sugar - 200 g
  • hartshorn - 1/2 tsp
  • vanilla - 2 packets
  • almonds - 1 1/5 cups (275 g), shelled and ground
  • oil - 2/3 cup (150 ml)
  • oranges - zest of 1 orange
  • orange juice - 1/2 cup (120 ml)
  • lemon juice - 1/2 tsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp

How to make

In a deep container, combine the orange juice, oil, sugar and beat with a mixer until you get a homogeneous mixture. Add the almonds, hartshorn that you have extinguished with the lemon juice, vanilla and salt.

Mix well. Add the flour, not necessarily all of it - the resulting mixture should not stick to your hands when kneading. Thus prepared dough is spread out on the counter into a sheet with a thickness of 1/2″ (1.5 cm).

Using shapes, cut out sweets and arrange them on a greased baking tray or one with baking paper. Bake them for about 25-30 minutes in a preheated 360°F (180 °C) oven.
