Ingredients

  • for the layers
  • eggs - 8
  • sugar - 1 cup (250 g)
  • chocolate - 9 oz (250 g)
  • almonds - 2/5 cup (100 g)
  • for the cream mixture
  • butter - 4/5 cup (200 g)
  • powdered sugar - 4/5 cup (200 g)
  • eggs - 4 boiled yolks
  • rum - 4 tablespoons
  • liquid cream - 1 cup (250 ml)
  • for the decoration
  • fruits - fresh, in season

How to make

Separate the egg yolks from the whites. Whip the whites into hard snow and the yolks into foam with the sugar. Gently mix them.

With stirring, add the grated chocolate and ground almond nuts. Pour the prepared mixture into a cake form, the bottom of which has been covered with rice paper. You need to get 2 layers, to bake in a preheated moderate oven.

Proceed to the preparation of the cream for the cake. Whip the butter with the sugar into foam. Add the chopped hard boiled yolks and rum. Stir until you get a homogeneous mixture.

In a separate dish, pour in the liquid cream. Beat with a mixer into a thick mass. Carefully add it to the remaining ingredients for the cream.

Smear this cream on the cake layers. Decorate with fresh fruits as you wish. Leave for at least 12 hours in a refrigerator and serve chilled.
