Ingredients

  • chicken livers - 2 lb (1 kg)
  • bacon - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • mushrooms - 5.5 oz (150 g)
  • peppers - 3 - 4 roasted, red
  • onions - 2 heads
  • red wine - 1 cup
  • tomato paste - 1 - 2 tbsp
  • parsley - 1 tsp
  • savory - 1 tsp
  • salt
  • black pepper

How to make

Heat a pan on low heat and put the sliced bacon to melt a bit. Then fry the chopped onion in it and fill up with the wine.

After half the liquid evaporates, add the chopped roasted peppers, tomato paste and mushrooms. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper to taste, add the green spices, and the chicken livers.

Leave it to cook on low heat for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally with a wooden spatula.
