Ingredients

  • yogurt - 1 cup
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 3.
  • citric acid - 1/2 tsp
  • salt - 1 pinch
  • yeast – 2 2/3 tbsp (40 g)
  • flour - 2.21 lb (1 kg)
  • for the filling
  • turkish delight – optional, you can use jam

Preparation

Mix baking soda into the yogurt. After it becomes effervescent, add the citric acid, salt, eggs, and yeast. Knead the flour gradually into soft dough that has to be sectioned into 30 balls. Allow them to rise.

In the middle of each ball, add Turkish delight and cover. Fry the donuts in preheated oil until golden.

Optionally, sprinkle with powdered sugar while still warm.
