Ingredients

  • banana peppers - 4.5 lb (2 kg), large
  • carrots - 2 lb (1 kg)
  • vinegar - 3 cups (700 ml)
  • sugar - 1 2/5 cups (350 g)
  • water - 1 2/5 cups (350 ml)
  • salt - 1/5 cup (70 g)
  • black pepper - 2 tsp (10 g)
  • dill - 2 sprigs
  • celery - 1 head
  • garlic - 2 cloves
  • oil - 1 1/5 cups (300 ml)

How to make

Wash the peppers and cut off the stalks. Heat the oil on the stove and cook the peppers in it. Grate the carrots, celery and dill and chop them, then mix them with the fried and drained peppers.

Arrange them in small jars and put the garlic and pepper together. Vinegar, sugar, water and salt are put to boil and then, the hot mixture is poured into jars.

Close the jars with caps and sterilize by boiling for 5 min.
