Baked Zucchini with Garlic

Ingredients

  • zucchini - 3.5 lb (1.5 kg)
  • flour - 2/3 cup (150 g)
  • yogurt - 1 2/3 cups (400 g) sour
  • garlic - 1 fresh bunch or 3 - 4 cloves
  • paprika - 1 2/3 tbsp (25 g)
  • dill
  • salt
  • olive oil - 3 - 4 tbsp

Preparation

The well washed zucchini are cut into round slices of about 0.2″ (0.5 cm) thick. They are salted and left for 30 minutes in a strainer so that the excess liquid drains out.

The flour is sifted with a pinch of salt and the paprika. Roll the zucchini in the seasoned flour and then arrange them in an oiled pan so that they overlap slightly.

Pour the remainder of the olive oil on top and bake in a preheated 392°F (200 °C) oven for 20-25 minutes. Take the pan out and immediately drain out the oil so it doesn't soak the vegetables.

While the zucchini slices are baking, crush the garlic and mix with the sour yogurt and finely chopped dill. Serve with the cooked zucchini slices.
