Ingredients

  • milk - 2 cups (0.5 liter)
  • buns - 4 Viennese, can use croissants without filling
  • butter - 4/5 cup (200 g) fresh
  • eggs - 4
  • sugar - 1 cup (250 g)
  • vanilla - 1 packet
  • almonds - 6 oz (175 g), peeled
  • sugar - for caramel
  • ice cream - for garnishing

How to make

Cut the buns into pieces and arrange them in a pan, greased with some oil. Beat the eggs with sugar and milk. Pour the resulting mixture over the buns and sprinkle with almonds.

Cut the butter into small pieces over the top of the mixture. Bake the dairy cake until browned. Serve with caramel and a scoop of ice cream, and you can even add some more unroasted almonds.
