"Try these scones and be honest about whether you`ll ever buy any from the store again!"

Ingredients

  • flour - 4/5 cup (200 g)
  • margarine - 1/5 cup (60 g)
  • powdered sugar - 2 2/3 tbsp (40 g)
  • eggs - 2
  • yeast - 2 tsp (10 g)
  • vanilla - 1 packet
  • salt
  • for the filling
  • water - 2/5 cup (100 g)
  • sugar - 2 2/3 tbsp (40 g)
  • breadcrumbs - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 g)
  • walnuts - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 g) ground
  • milk - 2 2/3 tbsp (40 ml)

How to make

Knead a medium hard dough. Let it rise. Divide it into 12 balls. Boil the filling. Roll out the balls into circles.

Cut them into circles. Place the stuffing on top and wrap up the scones. Arrange the scones in a buttered pan. Let them rise.

Smear them with a beaten egg and bake.
