"Tasty potatoes with hot spices, served with a milk sauce - what better reason to open up a beer?"

Ingredients

  • potatoes - 2 lb (1 kg) fresh
  • butter - 1/2 cup (120 g)
  • cayenne pepper - 2 tsp, optional
  • cumin - 1/2 tsp, ground, optional
  • black pepper - 1/2 tsp, ground
  • yoghurt - 1 cup
  • mint - a few sprigs of fresh, chopped
  • green garlic - 2 - 3 bunches, or 2 - 3 cloves

How to make

Heat the oven to 430°F (220 °C). Mix the spices with a little salt in a bowl. Dip the chopped potatoes in the spices. Smear a tray with oil.

After the oil heats up well, add the potatoes. Bake the potatoes for 40 minutes, turning occasionally with a slotted spoon.

Mix the remaining products for the sauce in another dish. Drain the potatoes of their oil and serve with the resulting yoghurt sauce.
