Ingredients

  • lentils - 4/5 cup (200 g)
  • peppers - 1 red
  • tomatoes - 1
  • onions - 1 head
  • garlic - 4 cloves
  • turmeric - 1 tsp
  • curry - 1 tsp
  • mustard - 1 tsp
  • cumin - 1/2 tsp seeds
  • ginger - 1/4 tsp ground
  • oil - 8 tablespoons
  • salt - to taste

How to make

Heat the oil and fry the chopped onion, garlic and pepper. Once braised, add all the spices and fry them some more.

Add the cleaned and washed lentils and exactly 3 1/3 cups (800 ml) of hot water. Peel and mash the tomatoes and throw them in to the lentils. Season with salt and allow to boil until the lentils are ready.

You will get a very tasty, aromatic and thick lentil stew.
