"Good things come slowly, as do tasty steaks with beer. But in both cases, it`s worth the wait."

Ingredients

  • pork tenderloin - 2 lb (1 kg)
  • thyme - 1 tsp, dry
  • oregano - 1 tsp, dry
  • onions - 1.5 oz (50 g)
  • garlic - 0.5 oz (10 g)
  • oil - 2 tablespoons
  • beer - 1 cup (250 ml) dark
  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • black pepper - 1/5 tsp (1 g)
  • salt - 2 tsp (10 g)

How to make

Remove the fat from the meat. Mix the salt, crumbled thyme and oregano. Rub the spices into the meat. Fry the meat on all sides in hot oil. Place it in a tray and then stew the finely chopped onion and garlic cloves in the saucepan.

Once stewed, add the beer and sugar. Boil the mixture and pour it over the meat placed in the tray. Bake the meat in a moderate oven 340°F (170 °C) for about 90 minutes.

Cut it into slices of 2-3 per serving. Serve warm, garnished with boiled or steamed vegetables and pour on the sauce.
