"The original bun recipe that will make your own kitchen smell divine."

Ingredients

  • eggs - 1
  • yoghurt - 4 tablespoons
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • water - 1 cup, hot
  • yeast - 1 cube
  • flour - for a runny dough
  • for the coating
  • butter - 1 packet
  • flour - 4 tablespoons
  • water - 4 tablespoons
  • salt - 1 pinch

How to make

Dissolve the yeast in the warm water with the sugar and gradually, while stirring, add the eggs, yoghurt and salt. Begin to add flour and knead until you get a runny dough. With well-greased hands, grab from the dough and shape balls.

Arrange them in a greased tray and leave them in a warm place to rise. Coat them with a mixture of 1 packet melted butter, 4 tablespoons of flour, 4 tablespoons of water and a pinch of salt.

Put the Sliven-style buns to bake in a pre-heated moderate oven until ready. Optionally, once they are ready, sprinkle them with powdered sugar.
