Ingredients

  • chicken - 1 whole
  • potatoes - 17.5 oz (500 g)
  • bacon - 7 oz (200 g), optional
  • onions - 3 large heads
  • carrots - 2 large
  • mushrooms - 10.5 oz (300 g)
  • peas - 1 cup
  • tomatoes - 4 tablespoons tomato paste + 5 small tomatoes
  • white wine - 1 cup
  • paprika - 1 tsp
  • black pepper
  • savory - 1 tablespoon
  • spearmint - 1 tablespoon

How to make

Clean the chicken and cut it into portions. Cut the onions, carrots, mushrooms and potatoes coarsely. Heat oil in a large pan and fry the chicken evenly. Remove it and in the same oil, fry the vegetables.

Season them to taste with paprika and the add tomato paste, dissolved in the wine. Once it comes to a boil, add the remaining spices, stir and remove it from the heat. Cut the potatoes and put them on the bottom of the pot.

Top with the peas, fried vegetables with the sauce, tomatoes and arrange the chicken meat. Put the lid on the pot and let it bake in an unheated oven for 1 and 1/2 hours.
