Ingredients

  • butter - 1 lb (0.5 kg)
  • flour - as needed
  • sugar - 3 1/5 cups (750 g)
  • water - 4 1/5 cups (1 liter)
  • coconut - to roll

How to make

Fry the butter until golden brown and pour it into a tray. Once cooled, sift the flour over it, knead the dough immediately, which needs to be smooth and not crack. Make walnut sized balls between your palms and in the middle, press them with your thumb.

Bake in a low oven until pinking. Top with a warm or cold syrup made from the sugar and water and allow them to cool and absorb it. For a more spectacular presentation, you can roll the Kadun Butići in some coconut flakes and serve in muffin cups.
