"An elegant and very easy to prepare dish, which you can treat your dear guests and friends that come over."

Ingredients

  • eggs - 4 + 1 for the minced meat
  • mince - 23 oz (650 g) mixture
  • black pepper - ground
  • garlic - 1/2 tsp powdered
  • parsley
  • salt
  • savory
  • cumin
  • yoghurt - 1 tsp
  • mustard
  • bread - 1 thick, dry slice
  • oil - 3 - 4 tablespoons

How to make

Mix the minced meat with all the spices, a spoon of yoghurt and mustard and the lightly moistened and drained very well slice of bread. Divide the mince into 4 balls. Arrange them in a well-greased baking dish with a non-stick coating.

Make a nest in each ball that is deep enough to prevent the egg from running. Put the nests to bake in a heated to about 370°F (190 °C) oven until almost done. Remove the dish and break an egg into each nest. Salt lightly if desired or sprinkle each with a little crumbled feta cheese.

Return them to the oven until the eggs tighten. Serve each egg in a nest on a plate with a garnish of your choice.
