Roasted Chicken with Garlic Sauce

  • chicken - 1 large
  • butter - 2 tablespoons
  • garlic - 1 head
  • flour - 1 tablespoon
  • ketchup - 1 cup (250 g)
  • honey - 2 tablespoons
  • white wine - 1/2 cup (120 ml)
  • lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • wine - 1 cup


Prepare a honey garlic sauce, which you will marinate the chicken with. Melt the butter in a pan and add the pressed garlic. Add the flour, stir vigorously and once it is fried, add 1/2 cup (120 ml) of wine. Once this boils, remove it from the heat and mix the sauce with the ketchup, honey and lemon juice.

Rub the chicken with salt and pepper on the outside and the inside, then again on the inside and treat the outside with the garlic sauce. Leave to stand in a covered container for 20 minutes, then transfer it to a greased pan, top up with more wine and put it to bake in pre-heated moderate oven until ready.

Occasionally, pour the sauce over the chicken.
