Ingredients

  • beef - 16 oz (450 g) lean, ground
  • oatmeal - 1/2 cup
  • onions - 1 head, large, finely chopped
  • ketchup - 1/2 cup
  • water - 2 tablespoons
  • parsley - 1/2 bunch
  • black pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • vegetables - steamed, to garnish

Preparation

The oven is heated to 356°F (180 °C). Grease a non-stick form. In a large bowl mix the minced meat, oatmeal, onions, ketchup, water, parsley and black pepper. Mix everything very well.

Form a large roll from the mixture with wet hands. Move it to the baking form and bake for half an hour, then add a little more ketchup and bake for about 20 minutes. You need to get a crispy crust.

Serve the roll slightly chilled with a side of steamed vegetables.
