Ingredients

  • chicken fillet - 24.5 oz (700 g)
  • soya sauce - 4 tablespoons
  • lemon juice - 2 tablespoons, freshly squeezed
  • ketchup - 2 tablespoons, spicy
  • mustard - 2 tsp, soft
  • honey - 2 tsp
  • cognac - 2 tablespoons
  • olive oil - 3 - 4 tablespoons
  • garlic - 2 cloves, crushed
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • oregano - dried to taste
  • tarragon - dried to taste

How to make

Wash the chicken, dry and place it in a bowl. Beat all the other products with a whisk until you get a marinade. Top the chicken with it, mix, cover the bowl and leave it in the refrigerator for at least 12 hours.

Arrange the marinated chicken fillets in a buttered baking dish. Top up the sides with about 1/2 cup hot water and cover the dish with aluminum foil. Put the dish to bake in a pre-heated 390°F (200 °C) oven for about 40 minutes.

Then remove the foil and bake for another 10-odd minutes. Thus prepared aromatic chicken fillets in the oven can be served with a sauce of your choice and garnished with a salad.
