Ingredients

  • cabbages - 1 large cabbage (at least 6.5 lb (3 kg))
  • carrots - 3 - 4, large
  • dill - 3 bunches
  • garlic - 2 - 3 heads
  • sea salt - 1/3 cup
  • bay leaf - 1 - 2
  • for the marinade
  • water - 6 1/5 cups (1.5 liters)
  • sugar - 1/3 cup
  • oil - 1/3 cup
  • vinegar - 1/3 cup

How to make

Cut the cabbage into medium strips, grate the carrots coarsely, cut the garlic. Mix these vegetables together, add the dill.

For the marinade, put the water, sugar, oil and vinegar to boil and then pour it over the veggies. Cover with a clean towel and leave in a warm place for 3 days.

Put it in jars and refrigerate.
