"Some make their cake without eggs but we make the tastiest egg cake ever."

Ingredients

  • soft drinks - 4/5 cup (200 ml), orange - flavored
  • liquid cream - 1/2 cup (125 ml) fresh
  • sugar - 1 cup
  • eggs - 3 + 2 egg yolks
  • honey - 2 tablespoons
  • salt - 1 pinch
  • flour - 1 cup (250 g)
  • baking powder - 1 packet
  • cinnamon - 1 pinch, powdered

How to make

Beat the eggs and egg yolks with the sugar until you get a smooth cream. While stirring, add the liquid cream and honey, soft drink, a pinch of salt and the flour sifted with the baking powder and cinnamon.

Stir the mixture well and pour it in a greased and floured form. Put the egg cake to bake in a moderately heated oven at 360°F (180 °C) for about half an hour. Check its readiness with a toothpick.

Allow it to cool and remove from the form. Sprinkle the top with powdered sugar if desired.
