Ingredients

  • cabbages - 1 head
  • beef - 12.5 oz (350 g) ground, can use pork
  • salt
  • black pepper - ground
  • bacon - 5.5 oz (150 g)
  • breadcrumbs - 2/3 cup (150 g)
  • butter - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 g)
  • tomatoes - 5

How to make

Put 1 whole cabbage to boil directly in hot water with salt. Once tender, remove it, let it cool and then cut it. Fry the ground meat in a little oil and season with salt and pepper. Cut the bacon into thin slices.

Start to arrange cabbage, meat and finish off with bacon in a tray. Sprinkle the dish with breadcrumbs and scatter butter cubes on top. Bake in a moderate oven. Serve the French moussaka with tomato sauce made from grated tomatoes.

Once you grate them, fry them in heated oil. Leave to boil for about 10-15 minutes and season with salt, black pepper and savory.
