Ingredients

  • milk - 1 cup (250 ml)
  • yeast - 1 1/3 tbsp (20 g)
  • oil - 4 tablespoons
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • yoghurt - 3 tablespoons
  • flour - 2 1/2 cups (600 g)
  • eggs - 1 yolk, to spread
  • feta cheese - 7 oz (200 g)
  • seeds - 2 tsp (10 g) mix

How to make

Dissolve the yeast in the milk with sugar and leave it in a warm area briefly. Mix a soft dough with the yoghurt, salt, oil.

Leave it to rise for 30 minutes, covered with foil. Then roll it out with a little flour into a rectangular crust. Smear with oil and sprinkle with crumbled feta cheese.

Cut it into three broad bands with a knife. Arrange them one atop another and cut them into squares. Smear an elongated cake form with oil and sprinkle it with flour.

Arrange the dough pieces upright until you fill up the form. Spread the top with beaten egg yolk with a little water and sprinkle it with plenty of seeds.

Bake in a 360°F (180 °C) oven for half an hour.
