Ingredients

  • eggs - 3
  • flour - 3 cups
  • powdered sugar - 1 cup + some for sprinkling
  • butter - 3 tbsp
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • lemon zest - 1 tbsp
  • marmalade - 1 cup (250 g)
  • walnuts - 4/5 cup (200 g)

How to make

Pour the beaten eggs with the sugar in a bowl and add the flour, baking soda and butter, knead a homogeneous dough, divide it into 2 equal-sized balls.

Lay out the first ball in a buttered form, while raising the edges up a bit to form a border. Smear with marmalade on top and cover with chopped walnuts.

From the second crust, cut out shapes of your choice and arrange them on top of the walnuts. You can form a weave, grid pattern or grate the 2nd crust on top. Bake the cake at 370°F (190 °C) until ready, serve it cooled, sprinkled with powdered sugar.
