Ingredients

  • mince - 2 lb (1 kg)
  • breadcrumbs - 1 cup
  • milk - 3/4 cup
  • onions - 1 head
  • eggs - 2
  • salt - to taste
  • black pepper - to taste
  • butter - 1 tbsp
  • garlic - 3 cloves
  • honey - 1/2 cup
  • ketchup - 3/4 cup
  • soy sauce - 2 tbsp

How to make

Put the mince in a large bowl. Mix the breadcrumbs with the milk and wait for them to swell nicely.

Chop the onions finely and add them to the mince, along with 2 eggs, salt, black pepper and the breadcrumbs with the milk. Knead everything very well.

Put aluminum foil in an oven dish and make small balls from the mince.

Preheat the oven to 390°F (200 °C) and put them to bake for 15 min.

In the meantime, prepare the sauce. In a pan, melt the butter and add the finely chopped garlic. After 1 min., add the honey, ketchup and soy sauce and leave on low heat for 5 min.

Add in the meatballs and stir well, being careful not to have them crumble apart.

Cover with a lid and leave them to cook for 20 min.

Serve with a garnish of your choice - we used boiled rice primarily.
