  • honey - 1 cup
  • sugar - 1/2 cup
  • flour - 2 cups
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • walnuts - 1 cup ground + 2/3 cup (150 g)
  • coffee - 1 cup, brewed

How to make

Sift the flour. Melt the honey. Once melted, pour it into a bowl. To it, add the cinnamon, sugar, baking soda, ground walnuts.

Beat everything. Cut the rest of the walnuts into small pieces and add them to the honey.

Next, pour in the brewed coffee. Stir well once again. Gradually, begin adding the flour while stirring nonstop. The mixture needs to become homogeneous and sticky.

Then, transfer it to an oiled and floured oven dish. Smooth it out lightly with a spoon on top. To make it easier to smooth it out, you can wet the spoon lightly with water or oil.

Bake the cake in a preheated 370°F (190 °C) oven for about 25-30 min. Once it's ready, you can sprinkle it with powdered sugar if desired.
