"Want to treat your guests and loved ones to something delicious? These steaks in a clay pot are a must! Tender and juicy..."

Ingredients

  • pork - 2 lb (1 kg), leg steaks
  • mushrooms - 17.5 oz (500 g)
  • onions - 1 head
  • peppers - 2 red, or carrots if desired
  • white wine - 1 cup, or red
  • tomato paste - 2 tbsp
  • oil - 3 - 4 tbsp
  • flour - for rolling
  • black pepper
  • salt
measures

How to make

Cut the pork legs into steaks about 1/2″ (1 cm) thick and tenderize them very lightly. Season with salt and black pepper. Leave them for about 30 min. in a cool area.

Roll the steaks in flour and braise them briefly in highly heated oil. Take them out and in the same oil braise the chopped onions, mushrooms and peppers/carrots for 2-3 min.

Arrange a layer of steaks in a clay pot, cover with a layer of onions and mushrooms. Arrange until out of ingredients. Pour on the wine with tomato paste, oil from the frying and 1/2 cup water and bake 90-110 min. at about 340°F (170 °C).

Serve with a garnish of your choice!
