"Muffins made following the original Starbucks recipe - enjoy!"

Ingredients

  • sugar - 1/2 or 2/3 cup
  • flour - 1 1/2 cups, sifted
  • dutch process chocolate - 1/2 cup, powdered cocoa
  • baking powder - 1 packet (10 g) or 1 tbsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • eggs - 2, at room temperature
  • vanilla - 1 tbsp
  • milk - 3/4 cup
  • butter - 1/2 cup melted and cooled (unsalted)
  • dark chocolate - 1/2 cup chocolate chips or cut chocolate
measures

How to make

Combine the sifted flour with the cocoa, salt, baking powder.

In a separate bowl, beat the butter with the sugar and add the eggs 1 by 1. Add the milk and flavor with the vanilla.

Make sure your butter has cooled after melting it.

Mix the dry and wet ingredients, stir with a spatula until homogeneous but don't overdo it. Stir in the chocolate chips. What I did was I melted the chocolate with a little cream and then filled the muffins with it.

Oil your muffin forms (if they're smaller, you're going to get more than 12 muffins). Fill them up to 2/3 of their height and put them to bake for about 15-20 min. or until ready in a preheated 360°F (180°C) oven.

Let the Starbucks Muffins cool for a few min. in the forms and take them out of them.
