Ingredients

  • fish - bonito, herring or other suitable fish
  • onions - 5.5 oz (150 g)
  • black pepper
  • allspice - 2 - 3 grains
  • bay leaf - 1
  • vinegar - 2/5 cup (100 ml)
  • oil - 2/5 cup (100 ml) or olive oil
  • water - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 ml)
  • salt - 1 tbsp (15 g)

Preparation

Drain the cleaned and washed under running cold water fish. Cut it into pieces, salt them.

Prepare a marinade from the water, vinegar, oil and spices. Boil them for 5 min.

Arrange the fish in jars - a layer of fish, layer of finely chopped onions etc. Pour the cooled marinate into the jars.
