Ingredients

  • cabbages - 8 medium - sized
  • sea salt - 2 1/2 cups (600 g)
  • water - 5 gal (18 L)

Preparation

Arrange the washed and cut into quarters cabbages in an 8 gal (30 L) drum. Pour the water up to the top.

Pour in the salt and place a large, shallow plate upside down over the top cabbages. Close tightly with the lid.
