"If it were up to me, I`d prepare this tasty Penne with Bacon and Mushrooms every single day."

Ingredients

  • bacon - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • mince - 3.5 oz (100 g) veal
  • mushrooms - 3.5 oz (100 g) champignons
  • onions - 1/2 small head
  • garlic - 1 clove
  • tomato sauce - 2/3 cup (150 ml)
  • penne - 5.5 oz (150 g)
  • cheese - 2 oz (50 g)
  • oil - 1 tablespoon
measures

How to make

Heat the oil in a deep pan on the stove on moderate heat. Dice the bacon and braise it in the heated oil for about 5 min.

Remove the bacon from the pan and add the mince. Fry, while stirring and pressing, until it changes color and crumbles to bits - about 10 min.

Add the onions, mushrooms and garlic. Stir well and cook another 5 min. Meanwhile, put the penne to boil. Add 1/2 the bacon to the mince in the pan, add the tomato sauce and a ladle of the water in which the pasta is boiling.

Boil the sauce about 10 min. Boil the pasta for 1/2 the amount of time listed on the packet. Strain it and pour it into the boiling sauce.

Boil the sauce with the pasta about 5 min. until the pasta is fully cooked. If needed, pour in a little of the water in which you boiled the penne. Finally, sprinkle with grated cheese and the remaining bacon.

Remove the pan from the stove and cover with a lid for about 5 min. until the cheese melts.
