"A lean cake that goes well with every kind of jam."

Ingredients

  • jam - 1 jar, flavor of your choice
  • water - 1 cup warm
  • sugar - 1 cup
  • oil - 1 cup
  • flour - 2 cups (not filled to the top)
  • cocoa - 1 packet, natural, powdered
  • baking soda
  • ginger
  • cinnamon
  • walnuts - 2/3 cup (chopped)

How to make

Mix all the dry ingredients in a large bowl - flour, cocoa, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger and stir.

To them add the oil and cup of warm water, then stir everything - preferably with a mixer on low speed. Next add the jam with walnuts and beat well again.

It's best to pour the mixture onto a tray with baking paper. Bake in a preheated 430°F (220 °C) oven until ready. Optionally, sprinkle with powdered sugar on top.
