  • flour - 8 tablespoons
  • vanilla - 2 powder packets + 2 drops of essence
  • sugar - 1 cup
  • milk - 4 1/5 cups (1 L)
  • butter - 2 tablespoons
  • lemons - 1 grated rind

  • water - 2 cups
  • sugar - 6 teaspoons

  • walnuts - 4/5 cup (200 g)

How to make

Making the layers:

Beat the yoghurt with the baking soda. Then beat the eggs with the sugar and add the yoghurt with baking soda to them, as well as all the products listed for the layers. From this mixture, bake 3 separate layers in a tray, covered with baking paper. Bake on moderate heat.

Sugar syrup:

Boil the water on medium heat on the stove, then add the sugar and stir until you get a thick syrup.

Cream:

Heat the milk with the sugar. Beat the eggs with the flour and add them to the milk. Stir until the cream thickens, then pour in the vanillas, lemon zest and butter (melted beforehand).

Cool all of the ingredients for the cake well. Place the 1st layer in a suitable platter, pour syrup on, then cream and so on with the remaining layers.

On top, smear the cake with the remaining cream, decorate with ground walnuts and the cherries from the jam.
