Ingredients

  • mutton - 17.5 oz (500 g) of boneless shoulder
  • oil - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 ml)
  • parsley - 1 root
  • turnips - 1
  • onions - 1 head
  • potatoes - 21 oz (600 g)
  • tomato paste - 2 tbsp
  • flour - 1 tsp
  • bay leaf - 2
  • black pepper - 6 - 8 peppercorns
  • paprika - optional
  • parsley
  • dill
  • salt
  • stock - 1 cube, meat

How to make

Cut the meat into cubes and pour hot stock or water on it, add salt and stew on very low heat until tender.

Add the chopped to pieces and fried in oil vegetables, finely chopped potatoes, spices, tomato paste, sprinkle with flour and stew until soft.

Serve the mutton stew with finely chopped parsley or dill.
