"Any duck that flies over the Romanian side of the Danube will enjoy the honor of being transformed into an extravagant, sauteed Romanian-style duck."

Ingredients

  • duck meat - of 1 duck
  • oil - 2 tablespoons or olive oil
  • onions - 2 - 3 heads
  • tomato paste - 2 tbsp
  • flour - 1/2 tsp
  • garlic - 2 cloves
  • black pepper - 6 - 8 grains
  • bay leaf
  • wine vinegar
  • chicken broth - 2/3 cup (150 ml)
  • salt - to taste

How to make

Fry the sliced duck in fat or oil. Remove the fried portions. In the remaining oil, fry the chopped onion, add flour, stir until sautéed and add the broth.

Add the tomato paste, crushed garlic, spices, salt, and cook the duck portions under the lid, until the meat is completely softened.

A quarter of an hour before the end of cooking, pour in the wine vinegar.

You can cook chicken or goose in the same way.
