Ingredients

  • eggs - 1
  • fat - 1 2/3 cups (400 g) pork lard (1 1/5 cups (300 g) lard and 2/5 cup (100 g) butter at room temperature)
  • powdered sugar - 2/3 cup (150 g) + 1 cup (250 g) for rolling in
  • vanilla - 3 - 4
  • eggs - 1
  • baking powder - 1
  • ammonium bicarbonate - 1/2 tsp
  • alcohol - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 ml)
  • flour - 3 1/5 cups (750 g)
  • almonds - 1 2/5 cups (350 g) peeled, slightly baked, mashed

How to make

Knead a medium soft dough from the listed products.

From it form balls or other shapes, bake at 350°F (175 °C) about 15 min.

While still warm, roll them in powdered sugar mixed with 2 powdered vanillas.

A proven, favorite recipe. I make them every year for Easter.
