"If you`ve never tried this tasty dish before, unfortunately you`ve been missing a lot. This masterful kapama is superbly delicious."

Ingredients

  • pork trotters - 3 - 4
  • onions - 6 - 7 heads
  • garlic - 3 - 4 heads
  • red wine - 4/5 cup (200 ml)
  • wine vinegar - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 ml)
  • salt
  • bay leaf
  • black pepper - grains
  • paprika

How to make

Pour cold water over the well-cleaned pork trotters and bring to a boil. Boil 30 min. on low heat. Chop the onions coarsely, separate the garlic heads into cloves, don't peel them.

Arrange half the onions and garlic at the bottom of a clay pot. Place the pork trotters on top and add the remaining onions and garlic.

Season with salt, bay leaf, black pepper and paprika. Pour in the wine and vinegar, then the broth from the boiling of the pork trotters up to the level of the products.

Place the clay pot in a cold oven and bake 2 1/2 hours. Serve with a nice homemade red wine. Enjoy!
