Ingredients

  • milk - 4 1/5 cups (1 l)
  • water - 4 1/5 cups (1 l)
  • rice - 9 oz (250 g)
  • salt
  • sugar - 12 tbsp
  • flour - 1 tbsp
  • vanilla - 1 packet

Preparation

In a saucepan put the milk, water, rice, sugar and salt to boil. Just before the rice is cooked, add flour as a thickener.

Simmer a bit to thicken slightly and remove from the heat.

Optionally, add vanilla, and if you want, lemon zest too.

Finally, you can add the knob of butter. Pour into bowls. It can optionally can be sprinkled with cinnamon.
